EXT. Row of Storage Garages, Night
Talee
Jean?
Jean
Yes. Talee? - Nice to meet you.
Talee
Thanks for meeting me so late. - So this is it?
Jean
This is it. Let me open it up for you.
Jean bends down and unlocks the padlocked garage door. As she does so Talee’s face falls as she realises the garage is locked from the outside.
Talee turns and looks behind her for a moment, as if she hears something.
JEAN
Alright dear?
Talee
Uh ... Jean, I have this really stupid fear about accidentally locking myself in somewhere. I actually once managed to lock myself in the garden shed.
JEAN
Really?
Talee
Yeah. It was awful. Anyway, is it possible to unlock the garage from the inside?
JEAN
Well, well no. I don’t think so. - But you don’t have to worry you can’t lock yourself in. It only locks from the outside.
Talee
Oh - oh great... Jean, I’m really sorry but this just won’t work for me. Sorry.
Talee turns on her heel and leaves a bewildered and irritated Jean to close up the garage.
EXT. Street, Late Night
Talee is walking down a street.
It is deserted except for a DRUNK MAN stumbling down it.
As Talee passes by him, she stretches out her arm, grabbing him by the neck and pulls him in close to her.
Her fangs descend and she bites him.
He slumps down to the ground but is still conscious.
Talee stumbles and is clearly affected by the intoxicated blood. She shakes her head trying to get it clear. She then shakes it more violently and it becomes a blur.
Drunk
Do it again!
Talee shakes her head again violently into a blur. She then stops and looks at the drunk. They both LAUGH in delight. They look like regular drunks.
Talee stumbles off down the street.
Mark, now very pale, appears. He walks down the street to the drunk slumped on the ground, who is laughing away to himself.
Mark squats down to examine his neck. He then bites into his thumb and forefinger and brushes the blood over the man’s wound which heals instantly.
Drunk
Did you see that?
Mark
Oh yes.
DRUNK
I still got it!
Mark gets up and leaves.
