These salty chocolate, date and almond balls are simple to make, healthy, filling and delicious. Definitely a sweet goodness treat.
I call these Fruits of the Dark Forest Meringues because the meringue has some kirsch and cocoa in it – like a Black Forest Gateau. But it’s topped with a different selection of fruit. There’s no cherries in it.

Gluten free apricot and almond cake. A mix of apricots, ground almonds, eggs, butter and sugar – and of course a little vanilla extract. It’s easy and oh-so-yummy!
So this is a recipe for (naturally gluten-free) chocolate buckwheat pancakes with a little pinch of ginger and cinnamon thrown in for good measure.
